Hours: 4:00 p.m.- 4:00 a.m.

Job description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated effectively to the team members and efficiently.

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.

  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.

  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.

  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

  • Education and Experience Must have minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience or refrigeration experience in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.

  • PSM Experience is preferred.

  • Refrigeration experience is preferred.

  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems with an in-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls is preferred.

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.

  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.

  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.

  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.

  • Frequent overhead work.

  • Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.

  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.

  • Willing and able to work overtime and weekends.

  • Read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work orders.

Requirements:

  • Refrigeration maintenance experience of 6 months or currently enrolled at an industrial maintenance program, or one year of classroom training from a technical college. (food industry preferred) Maintenance will be considered work in mechanic, fabricator, electrician, or plant maintenance.

  • Applicants from the following counties in Arkansas will be considered - Benton, Washington, and Madison.
