About the Role:
As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will help oversee the accounting, internal controls and internal reporting functions for The New York Times Shared Services Center. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Financial Accounting and work with several departments throughout finance, accounting, and tax, and internal and external auditors.
You will be in a hybrid position, which includes regular attendance to the Norfolk, VA office 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA certification.
5+ years professional accounting experience.
5+ year of experience with technical accounting pronouncements and standards (GAAP, FASB).
2+ years of experience supervising accounting staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Excel for presentation, analytics, database and financial applications.
Experience with Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights.
The annual base pay range for this role is between $95,000 - $115,000
