About us

Our Bravia TV teams in Lund are responsible for global browser development and for innovation development work for the European market on Sony TV’s. We are working in close collaboration with our colleagues in Japan, USA, and UK.
We are 20 skilled engineers working in agile teams. The teams consist of SW project leads, developers and verification engineers with long experience in Android. We plan and execute our work, optimize, and adapt ways of working, continuously improve our knowledge and take full responsibility for our deliverables.

We are now looking for a hourly worker to join our Sony TV verification team.

Job description

You will be working in our verification team with the core team as well as with other students/hourly workers. You will participate in our daily stand-up sync, team status and prioritization meetings. You will also participate and contribute to the practical work of maintaining and continuously improving the automatic test environment and execute manual testing.

Examples of work tasks but not limited to:

  • Manage test requests
    • Pick up test requests according to priority
    • Prepare TVs for testing
    • Report test related issues/problems to verification architect
  • Execute test cases
    • Manage automatic tests and run manual tests
    • Perform investigation/exploration on failed/unclear testcases to identify alternative ways to execute
    • Perform analysis of and judge test results


It can also include administrate and send/receive prototypes, accessories and sim cards as well as driving the test bus on a need basis.

If you have programming experience, possibilities exists for more programming related tasks as well.

Your profile

  • Education
    • Ongoing Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent engineering discipline)
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
    • You have at least 2-3 years left on your degree’
  • Technical skills
    • Genuine programming and technical interest
    • Basic knowledge of a Linux environment
    • Interest in automatic and semi-automatic test tools
  • Advantage for this position
    • Experience of building and repairing electronic equipment such as computers and other electronic devices
    • Previous programming and scripting e.g., JavaScript, Python experience
    • HTML/CSS knowledge
    • B driver's license with experience of right-hand traffic
